The last time we stayed at The District Boracay was on October 2020. Just when Boracay just reopened its doors to local tourism.
Itâs the beautiful white beach, azure skies, pristine waters, and the world-famous sunset that attracts thousands of tourists to Boracay every year.
Youâd want to spend as much time as you can basking in the beach, so it only makes sense to stay at a hotel thatâs just a stone's throw away.
Aside from the stunning beach in sunny Boracay, what piqued our interest and excitement to stay in buzzing Station 2 is the diverse island activities, water sports, and amazing nightlife it has to offer.
We went there for John's birthday. It was in the middle of the pandemic and they surprisingly gave us their best attention.
Thereâs nothing more perfect than staying at Station 2 if youâre just like us who like to enjoy the beach but not miss out on the unique activities we only get to experience at Boracay.
Thereâs a lot of things to see and do as you walk down the beach at Station 2, and you definitely wonât miss the opulent entrance of The District Boracay.
The facade itself makes a bold statement of what they have to offer.
The District Boracay is a boutique hotel in a prime location in Station 2, and itâs what weâd like to call âbite-sized luxury accommodationsâ.
While it was at a very convenient location, it didnât compromise the privacy and serenity that the hotel has to offer.
Itâs just 10 to 15 minutes away from the port, and we were able to make use of the complimentary Caticlan Airport Transfer because we booked our hotel reservations through their reservations team.
The District Boracay has 48 rooms and suites, each equipped with an air conditioning unit, LED flat screen television, private veranda, in-room safe, refrigerator, coffee and tea making facility, and Wi-Fi access.
The bathrooms also have a set of amenities, hot and cold water, and a hair dryer.
Deluxe Rooms have an area of 28 square meters, and could have either 1 king bed or 2 queen-size beds.
Premiere Rooms (37 sqm) are more spacious, and have a king-size bed, but a daybed is also available in select rooms.
The Deluxe Suite is District Boracayâs one-bedroom accommodation, with king-size bed and a pantry in the adjoining living room.
Having a loft-type layout, the Premier Suite is the biggest room at the District Boracay.
It has a king-size bed, a private veranda on each floor, and floor-to-ceiling glass windows to highlight the beautiful interiors underneath natural lighting.
We stayed in a Deluxe Suite as we were going to stay one week in Boracay.
So that we could enjoy having a kitchen.
Cooking from home and working from home đ
The beds and pillows are ultra-comfortable.
And the amenities inside each room are exactly what we needed for a comfortable stay.
When we went there, unfortunately, the main restaurant was not serving because the hotel was still on soft opening due to the covid19.
But usually, The District Boracay has 2 restaurants and a coffee shop, all overlooking the beautiful white beach and sparkling waters.
Working at the coffee shop was a very nice experience. Their breakfast was just what we needed to start our day there.
The breakfast buffet is served from 7:00 to 10:00AM at the coffee shop.
The Star Lounge roof deck was our favorite part of the hotel.
It had the perfect ambiance for a chill-out night while sipping cocktails and enjoying the cool ocean breeze beneath the stars.
The bar was closed. We then would take our drinks and watch the sunset from there.
It was more of a laid-back kind of nightlife experience compared to the partying at neighboring bars.
So the Star Lounge was perfect for a relaxed chat with your companions or friends.
Before, when we were chatting at the Star Lounge, we couldnât help but hear the cool beats being played by the bars.
Of course, we just had to head to the nearby bar and party all night long!
It is no more the case as Boracay is less active than before.
The Plenary is located at the ground floor of the hotel, and is the newest restaurant at the District Boracay.
The menu is classic Filipino dishes but given an elevated twist.
Traditionally, pork sinigang is a tamarind stew that has meat and vegetables.
Another amazing dish was the Chorizo Croquettes.
If youâre health-conscious, youâll definitely love the House Brew Cafe.
Their menu was filled with healthy and vegetarian meals, as well as coffee, pastries, gelatos.
We usually had our midday snacks here.

The beach is literally right out the door, and thatâs the best thing about staying at The District Boracay.
We wanted was just within reach â the beach, bars, cafes, restaurants, island activities, and even Dâmall is just a few minutesâ walk from the hotel.
Being so near D'mall is a huge plus.
You can do your grocery and then cook if you've booked a suite.
Only a few hotels in Station 2 have their own swimming pool since the beach is the highlight of the island, so thatâs plus points to The District Boracay for having a swimming pool!
The pool was 5 feet deep and 15 meters long, and surrounded by sun loungers.
If the beach gets crowded. It could be a great way to soak up the sunlights and enjoy a little swim.
They normally have the Upperhouse Spa open from 2:00 to 10:00PM, where they conduct the Signature Upperhouse massage that is island pampering at its finest!
Itâs patterned like the Hawaiian Lomi Lomi where they perform wave-like strokes.
And infused it with traditional Thai stretching.
As it was not opened last time. They directly booked for us external masseuses.
They were respecting all the sanitary protocols. We had our massage in-room.
The District Boracay also had their own gym.
It had an extensive selection of equipment such as cardiovascular machines, strength and resistance machines, free weights, and exercise balls.
As of today, only in-house guests are allowed to check-out the gym (and use it) if the available equipment suits their needs. The gym will be fully operational by the third quarter of 2022.
But if youâre as adventurous as us, why not just climb the coconut trees outside?!
Hey, thatâs already a full body workout packed in just a few minutes, and all you need is one coconut tree and a YOLO attitude!
And as we're just in front of the beach, we used to run every morning back and forth to the end of the beach.
That was a just a perfect moment.
Despite the pandemic, the restaurants closed and the reduced staff, they were able to give us an amazing service.
Their personnel is just lovely and very kind. They were very accommodating despite the challenges they were facing.
We loved our stay there and we recommend them if you're looking for a boutique contemporary resort in Boracay.
